Yuni Sabatino was born in Mexico City, daughter of Spaniard immigrants and Mexican grandparents. She had her first experience in music performing as a flute player in a series of concerts at her elementary Montessori school. She was later accepted into the National Conservatory Of Music (National Institute for the Fine Arts) where she was trained in classical music as an Opera Singer. She also complimented her education with instruction from one of the best representatives of vocal jazz music in Mexico. Through her dedication and talent, and after moving to the U.S., Yuni managed to become part of the South Jersey music scene where she released her first album titled Dreams Of Amethyst in October 2011. Dreams Of Amethyst is the title of my first short album. To me, the Amethyst crystal symbolizes the human mind, through which we perceive all reality and live our lives. This is the fruit of many years of learning and experimenting with different sounds and ideas that I wanted to convey through music. In particular, I tried to share with you my love for life and my thankfulness for many lessons and blessings. Even through tough times, I knew of the power of music and how it has always motivated me to overcome obstacles.
